About

Welcome to Michal Harada Studio,

where handmade glass art comes to life.

In my studio, I create a variety of works - from sculptural pieces to installation art - each shaped with care and attention to material and form.

I am drawn to the nature of glass: its fragility, its lightness, and the way it holds the possibility to exist while remaining almost an offering - a trace of what could be. Through my work, I explore this tension, letting light, movement, and shape reveal the quiet potential within the material.

Original commissions are also available, allowing me to create one-of-a-kind pieces for private or public spaces.

I live and work in Jerusalem. My practice moves between glass, movement, and material, exploring the space where visual art meets embodied experience.

I graduated with honors from the Department of Ceramic and Glass Design at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and pursued advanced studies in lampworking at the Corning Museum of Glass (New York) and Penland School of Craft (North Carolina).

Over the years, I have been lucky to receive awards and grants such as the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sport Grant for International Study, the Blumenthal Award for Excellence, and Bezalel’s 10x10 Award for Outstanding Final Project.

I teach at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and the School of Visual Theatre in Jerusalem and have been a guest lecturer at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Dublin. I currently work from my studio at the Jerusalem Artists’ Studios in Talpiot.
